The AI policy outlines the ways in which AI tools are permitted to be used, the measures that must be followed to ensure the confidentiality of client data, and the professional responsibility that lawyers have in using AI.
Adherence to privacy and confidentiality standards when using AI, as outlined in the AI policy, is important in ensuring that sensitive client data and communications remain under the control of GP members, rather than under the control of external services. Bar regulations pertaining to AI use must also be followed; their requirements can be found in the office annexes.
Every member of the firm should read the AI policy before using any AI tool for client work.
