FAQs

Find answers to Frequently Asked Questions that pertain to AI usage within the firm.

Which AI tools am I allowed to use for client work?

Only the tools listed on AI portal’s AI tools page are approved for firm use. Each tool's guide explains what it may and may not be used for. If a tool you want to use is not listed, do not use it for client work — discuss possible tool adoption with your office's AI lead.

Where do I go for assistance?

For assistance with AI-related issues, contact Tarik Hennen, GP’s Head of AI, directly at [email protected]

What resources are available on the GP AI portal?

The GP AI portal is a hub for the firm’s AI policy and office annexes (in development), approved AI tools, tools for AI (practical utilities, Markdown converters), news and updates, the shared document library, and the prompt library (in development).

Can I upload client documents to the document library?

Yes — the document library is an internal firm system, and uploads stay within the firm. Standard confidentiality rules still apply: use the sharing controls to restrict sensitive documents to the right group, and follow bar regulation guidance on client data.

Why can't I edit content on the AI portal?

Editing portal content (news, guides, help pages, resources) is limited to administrators and content managers. If you spot something out of date, let a content manager know — regular users have read-only access.

What file formats can I upload to the Markdown converters?

The document library accepts PDF and DOCX files. Older .doc files are not supported — re-save them as .docx in Word first. There is also a size limit on uploads; very large files will be rejected with a message explaining the limit.
